Gallatin Electric officers and technicians have over 100 years of combined experience. They are a full service electrical shop which includes service, repair, and new construction. In addition to these basic services Gallatin Electric has the ability to repair overhead lines, street lights, under-ground lines and sign repair up to 50 feet. Gallatin Electric and its knowledgeable staff are able to assist in all phases of electrical design. In 1977, Richard Schmidt received his master electricians license and began Gallatin Electric in his garage.

The company grew tremendously in the next seven years expanding into a full service electrical shop. In 2002 Gallatin Electric incorporated and purchased land in Belgrade where it is currently located on Bartz Lane. Gallatin Electric has been a family owned company for 28 years and takes great pride in their growth and contributions to the Gallatin Valley and surrounding areas.
